What To Look For When Choosing Your Venue

Happy Holidays! I hope you are enjoying some holiday feels this season. We did get some snow last week and that has helped make it more like Christmas 'round here. Remember to shop small local businesses particularly this year. They need all the help they can get.

If you are currently 'shopping' around for the perfect venue to hold your wedding, I want you to keep one very important thing in mind. If tasty food is important to you, pick a venue that does all of their catering onsite, inhouse. Not only is it a ton more work and usually more expensive if you have to hire a caterer to come into the venue, but there's more chance of things going wrong.

Is the outside caterer even familiar with the venue's kitchen? Is the kitchen large enough? Are all the ovens and appliances in working order? Will the food be served hot to the guest or will it be lukewarm? When you choose an onsite, in house caterer: they already have been cooking in the space and know it well. Make sure to look at the venues reviews on a wedding site such as theknot.com or weddingwire.com. See what other past bridal couples are saying about their food. It's so important to take that extra step.
